The Lake Washington High School girls basketball team traveled to Woodinville Wednesday and were defeated 85-41.

Woodinville began the game on fire from the floor, outscoring the Lake Washington girls 27-5.

But the Kangs pulled it together, outscoring Woodinville 16-15 during the second quarter. But it was one of the only bright spots during the contest for Lake Washington. The Kangs were held to single digits during third quarter, as Woodinville never looked back. Lake Washington’s Colleen Walsh led the team with 14 points, while Sam Brender contributed nine points. The Kangs will host Ballard at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
