Kirkland woman attacked with hammer; suspect at large

A man attacked his ex-girlfriend with a hammer early this morning and is now at large. Police are looking for a Mitsubishi Montero with the license plate 675-SGC (anyone who sees it is asked to call 911).

Woman Attacked with Hammer; Suspect on the run

Sheriff’s deputies and detectives are looking for a man who broke into his ex-girl friend’s house this morning and attacked her with a hammer. Then the man stole her car. The woman is 41 years old.

Deputies were called to the scene in the 13700 block of 134th Ave NE outside of Kirkland about 3:30 a.m. this morning (October 12th). Two different neighbors of the victim called 911 after they heard her screaming for help.

The victim was asleep in her bedroom when she was attacked with the hammer. She suffered several injuries and was taken to Evergreen Medical Center by fire personnel.

The woman’s 14 year-old daughter was at home at the time of the attack. Both she and the victim recognized the assailant.

The suspect got into the house through the garage.

When deputies arrived the suspect was gone, along with the victim’s car. He is a 33 years old, African American and 5-feet 5-inches tall, about 185 pounds.

The missing vehicle is a white, 2003 Mitsubishi Montero SUV, with a Washington license plate No. 675-SGG.
