Between Nov. 12-18, the Kirkland Police Department reported 362 traffic violations (six DUIs), 18 traffic accidents, 11 noise complaints, 17 thefts, five domestic violence calls, 22 motor vehicle prowls, five burglaries, seven disturbances, two cases of fraud, nine harassment calls and two animal control calls. At least 35 people were arrested.

Nov. 17

Assault: 9 p.m., 308 Kirkland Ave. A 14-year-old girl came into the Kirkland Police Department with her mother an hour after she was assaulted outside the Kirkland Library while sitting on the steps. The girl was called names and punched in the eye.

Nov. 17

Theft: 12:04 p.m., 8629 120th Ave. N.E. A woman stealing $60 worth of clothes from Costco was caught by loss prevention.

Nov. 16

DUI: 10:47 p.m., 11700 98th Ave. N.E. A 32-year-old Kirkland woman was stopped for extreme lane travel. She advised the officer that she was driving with a suspended license and unpaid traffic tickets. The woman did poorly on a field sobriety test and submitted a blood alcohol sample of .134.

DUI: 12:22 p.m., Central Way and Market Street. A 27-year-old female was arrested for DUI after failing to yield at a stop sign while turning into the Marina parking lot from Central way. The woman submitted a blood alcohol sample of .131.

Nov. 14

Domestic: 8:21 a.m., 10800 block of N.E. 121st Street. A 16-year-old Kirkland boy was contacted by Kirkland Police after he lost his temper with his parents and destroyed property in the house, struck his father in the head with a dinner plate and prevented his mother from calling the police.

Nov. 13

Assault: 1 p.m., 12400 block of N.E. 130th Court. A 26-year-old woman called police to report that her boyfriend had struck her in the face and thrown her on the ground. It was found that she was not struck or thrown but that the two were equally pushing and shoving, which resulted in scratches on her arm. Due to the scratches on her arms, police arrested the man for assault.

Nov. 12

Domestic: 11:03 p.m., 11900 block of 110th Ave. N.E. A 46-year-old Kirkland female called 911 and was disconnected. The woman then called back a little later stating that her daughter was out of control and had broken her cell phone. The woman’s daughter was arrested for domestic violence.
