Jamie Heil has been promoted to club executive director of Boys & Girls Clubs of King County’s Kirkland branch, also known as the Kirkland Boys & Girls Club.

Coming from the Boys & Girls Clubs of King County’s Sammamish Teen Center, Heil started in 2011 as the teen coordinator, became the teen director in 2013, and then program director in 2014. She has also been involved in and led multiple committees within Boys & Girls Club of King County.

“As a teen coordinator I learned that being in youth development is much more than just watching club members. It is about helping teens develop into productive young people who are respectful, kind and compassionate leaders,” Heil said. “We want to help them learn their role and place in the world and how their actions, even at a young age, have lasting effects on others around them.”

Heil will lead and manage internal staff to conduct effective operations, programs and partnerships. She will maintain close contact with Club staff and volunteers along with overseeing the club’s budget.

She will also communicate with external community groups, schools, member’s parents and other stakeholders to assist in resolving problems; build strategic partnerships, and maintain good public relations.

“It is important to me to instill strong values, work ethics and belief in our organization’s mission in my staff,” Heil said. “Building capable and passionate leaders who directly work with our kids every day is a main focus.”

“We are truly excited about Jamie stepping up as the leader of the Kirkland Club,” said Boys & Girls Clubs of King County Vice President of Club Operations Pat Murray. “Her passion, experience and proven commitment to changing kids’ lives for the better is a perfect fit for the future of the club.

Heil has a Master of Arts in Public Administration from Seattle University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Seattle Pacific University.
