My husband, Ralph, and I attended the Oktoberfest in Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Kirkland marina.

We didn’t mind being “carded,” even though we are in our 70s. The beer was good and the music was good. However, there was only one food vendor and the wait to purchase food was close to an hour. We didn’t just want to have a beer and leave, so we waited it out and ordered the brawtwurst. We decided not to attend this function in the future unless we can be assured that there will be more than one food vendor to cut back on the wait.

We like to support local functions. Kirkland is a great place to live, so I hope you can pass this information on to the organizers of next year’s Oktoberfest.
