Between June 21-27, the Kirkland Police Department reported 475 traffic violations (12 DUIs), four animal calls, 40 alarm calls, 21 noise complaints, 15 calls of disturbance, 23 thefts, 10 car prowls, three car thefts, 32 traffic accidents, nine calls of civil disturbance, eight reported burglaries, 12 domestic violence calls, six calls for harassment, five reports of illegal drugs, one alleged assault, 11 acts of fraud, 11 malicious mischief reports and two rapes. At least 35 people were arrested.

June 26

Illegal drugs: 11:40 a.m., 9200 block of 112th Ave. NE. A 27-year-old man was arrested for possessing strips of Suboxone without a prescription. Multiple foil sheets and a plastic “tooter” were taken as evidence.

June 25

Domestic violence: 6 a.m., 13100 block of 111th Place NE. A 33-year-old woman was taken into custody after she got into a physical fight with her 36-year-old girlfriend. The suspect bit her girlfriend’s right breast, causing it to bleed, and destroyed several of her household items.

June 24

Rape: 12 p.m., 12000 block of 120th Place NE. A 20-year-old woman told the Kent Police Department that her boyfriend forced her to act as a prostitute against her will, and as a result, she reported two Hispanic men sexually assaulted her while she was at Motel 6 in the Totem Lake neighborhood.

June 23

Illegal drugs: 12:44 p.m., 13400 block of NE 138th Place. A 17-year-old boy was arrested for being a minor in possession of marijuana. He was seen in the passenger seat of a black Hyundai with a smoldering “marijuana cigarette” in hand with a small bag of marijuana shortly after.

Warrant: 10 p.m., 10000 block of NE 137th St. A 29-year-old man was arrested on a felony warrant for stealing a vehicle from Snohomish County.

Assault: 10:57 p.m., 13100 block of NE 129th St. A 22-year-old man was taken into custody for punching his mother in the back and throwing his sister against the wall and to the floor. The man was involuntarily committed for potential mental health issues.

Domestic violence: 2:54 a.m., 7600 block of 128th Place NE. A 31-year-old man was arrested for pulling his wife’s hair during an argument, causing her pain.

June 22

Warrant: 1 a.m., 7800 block of NE 141st St. A 17-year-old girl was taken into custody on a Seattle warrant when she was contacted by police for disturbance.

June 21

Disorderly conduct: 11:43 p.m., 200 block of Central Way. A 23-year-old woman was arrested after she attempted to break the side mirror on a car, obstruct and resist arrest after her boyfriend was issued a citation.

Sexual assault: 5:24 p.m., 12600 block of NE 85th St. A 17-year-old girl reported on June 4 she was forced into an unknown male suspect’s vehicle to which he allegedly touched her all over her body, outside her clothing.
