Between Jan. 31 to Feb. 6, the Kirkland Police Department reported 521 traffic violations, six DUIs, 19 school zone traffic violations, 17 traffic accidents, six animal calls, 39 alarm calls, six noise complaints, seven calls of disturbance, 13 thefts, 33 car prowls, three car thefts, 12 calls of civil disturbance, six reported burglaries, five domestic violence calls, two calls for harassment, two reports of illegal drugs, two alleged assaults, 10 acts of fraud, 10 malicious mischief calls, one sex offense and eight suicide calls. At least 41 people were arrested.

Feb. 5

Warrant: 9:05 p.m., 300 block of Kirkland Ave. A 41-year-old man was arrested on a Bothell assault warrant after police found him at the Kirkland Library. He had refused to leave at closing and was not cooperative when police arrived.

Feb. 4

Warrant: 5 p.m., 14100 block of Juanita Drive NE. A missing 17-year-old boy was arrested after he was located and found to have a misdemeanor warrant.

Feb. 3

Theft: 8:56 p.m., 14130 Juanita Drive NE. A 30-year-old man was arrested for stealing eight boxes of Delsym, a cough formula, from the Inglewood Bartell Drugs store. Police found him a few blocks from home. He was trespassed for three years from the store.

Warrant: 9:36 p.m., 11200 block of NE 124th St. A 21-year-old man was taken into custody on a felony warrant after police found him at a QFC. Upon searching him, police found a Target debit card and a blue MasterCard belonging to a woman.

Car theft: 11:12 p.m., 6900 block of 116th Ave. NE. A 32-year-old man was arrested for possessing a stolen Dodge Charger from the Rairdon auto dealership.

Theft: 1:09 p.m., 9800 block of NE 132nd St. A 16-year-old boy was arrested for stealing a First Aid Kit, bug spray and a match box from Rite Aid.

Feb. 2

Domestic violence: 8:42 p.m., 8700 block of 126th Ave. NE. A 43-year-old woman was arrested for punching her 43-year-husband of 12 years in the chest and arm multiple times.

Malicious mischief: 9:54 p.m., 5800 block of Lake Washington Boulevard NE. A 27-year-old man was arrested for kicking the car belonging to his girlfriend of six years and causing significant damage. His girlfriend had refused to get out of her car and into a cab with him.

Feb. 1

Hit-and-run: 1:55 p.m., 14300 block of 109th Ave. NE. A 22-year-old man was arrested for taking off after crashing his BMW into a rock retaining wall. He and his damaged car were found four blocks away as he was “feverishly trying to change the front tire.” He was charged for the damage he caused to nearby vehicles impacted by flying rocks.

Assault: 2:52 p.m., 12500 block of NE 144th St. A 41-year-old man was arrested for punching a 52-year-old man at the Caribbean Casino. Police found the suspect at Tony’s bar a short time later.

Domestic violence: 10:34 p.m., 6500 block of 113th Ave. NE. An 18-year-old man was arrested for kicking in a door. His 49-year-old mother told police her son was agitated and on meth.
