Between March 8-14, the Kirkland Police Department reported 460 traffic violations (nine DUIs), 21 school zone traffic violations, four animal calls, 29 alarm calls, nine noise complaints, 10 calls of disturbance, nine thefts, eight car prowls, three car thefts, nine calls of civil disturbance, nine reported burglaries, six reports of juvenile crime, nine domestic violence calls, eight calls for harassment, three alleged assaults, nine acts of fraud, eight malicious mischief reports, two rapes and two suicides. At least 26 people were arrested.

March 14

Domestic violence: 11:35 p.m., 13100 block of 123rd Ln. N.E. A 34-year-old woman was taken into custody after assaulting her 27-year-old boyfriend.

March 13

Order violation: 8:57 a.m., 11500 block of N.E. 118th St. A 19-year-old man was observed by a prosecutor at Kirkland Municipal Court sitting next to a 17-year-old girl with his arm on her chair as they conversed. The man has a no-contact order listing the girl as the protected person. The man was arrested and booked into Kirkland jail.

March 12

Order violation: 12:26 p.m., 300 block of Parkplace Ctr. A 27-year-old man was arrested for contacting a 20-year-old woman at her place of work under a no-contact order.

March 10

Domestic violence: 8:25 p.m., 13000 block of N.E. 74th St. A 20-year-old man got into a physical altercation with his 56-year-old father at their home. The suspect allegedly shoved his father, broke a TV remote against the wall and threw a beer into his father’s face.

Disorderly conduct: 4:07 p.m., 12000 block of N.E. 85th St. A 71-year-old man was arrested for resisting arrest and exposing himself at Taco Time. When officers arrived, they observed the man lying outside on the grass and highly intoxicated.

March 9

Domestic violence: 1:30 p.m., 14200 block of 118th Pl N.E. A 45-year-old was booked into jail for allegedly assaulting his 11-year-old son. Prior threats and actions toward his wife made her feel fearful for her safety.
