Evergreen Academy students give back to planet Earth with ladybugs, plants

Last month, students and staff at Evergreen Academy Preschool in Kirkland gave back to planet Earth by releasing more than 1,000 ladybugs into the environment to improve the health of local vegetation.

Before the event, the students learned how ladybugs serve as a natural pesticide by feeding on insects that could otherwise harm the health of gardens, trees and shrubs.

In addition to the ladybug release, the students also added new plants to the school’s garden.
