Comcast employees help restore Juanita Bay Park

More than 100 Comcast employees, family and friends recently helped restore Juanita Bay Park in Kirkland as part of the 16th annual Comcast Cares Day.

On this day, Comcast employees give back to their communities and nearly 30 projects were completed around Washington state this year.

In Kirkland, volunteers removed invasive species, spread mulch in planting areas and planted more than 500 native plants, shrubs and trees. Comcast worked with Green Kirkland Partnership and EarthCorps.

Juanita Bay Park consists of 110 acres of urban parkland fronting Lake Washington. It features interpretive trails, boardwalks, wetlands and open lawn areas in addition to Forbes Creek.
