Rebel Lee scores three as boys soccer starts season with big comeback win

The Juanita boys soccer team began the season with a 3-2 victory Tuesday against league rival Inglemoor.

The Rebels fell behind 1-0 by half time but got an unassisted goal during the 58th minute by Garett Lee to tie the game. The Vikings came right back, scoring just four minutes later to reclaim the lead.

But it would be Lee’s night to shine, as he again tied the game during the 70th minute off a pass from teammate Austin Tran. Lee achieved the unthinkable five minutes later by completing the hat trick on an unassisted goal and the comeback for the win.

On Wednesday, Juanita ran into a 4A steamroller in Bothell, losing 3-0. The Rebels played tough, shutting out the Cats during the first 50 minutes of play. But Bothell earned all three goals during the final 30 minutes.

The Rebels will host Sammamish Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
