Lake Washington beat Interlake on Friday, Jan. 13 with a 58-48 final score.

While the Saints had the early lead, with a 26-24 lead at halftime, Lake Washington attacked the basket in the

third quarter, scoring 15 points, followed by another 19 in the fourth to earn the win.

Hunter Hopkins had 19 points for the Lady Kangs, with Cassie Lively adding 13 and Whitney Dunlap posting 10. Peyton Wozenaik added seven points, while Sara Wilson had four. Margo Lynott had three points, followed by Jessica Trump’s two.

During a KingCo battle last Friday, Juanita held on to it’s top spot beating Bellevue 57-50.

Juanita was up 15-11 at the end of the first, but both teams scored seven in the second and both had 19 points in

the third to even out the game. But Juanita’s final quarter of 16 points was enough to push the team ahead.

Kate Cryderman had 19 points during the game, Winnie Levitt had 11 points, Mikayla Jones posted nine, while Molly

Grager had four and Molly Steck added two.
