The Lake Washington High School girls soccer team destroyed Interlake for three goals during the second half of its 4-0 win Thursday at home.

The Kangs earned their first goal of the game during the first half as Holly Styant-Browne scored off a pass from Sammie Mcchesney during the 13th minute of play.

The Kangs added to that lead as Mcchesney took a pass from Taylor Sekyra and put it into the Saints net to start the second half. Styant-Browne gave Lake Washington a three-goal lead during the 60th minute of play on a pass from Emily Bunnell. The final score of the contest came off the foot of Lauren Curlanis on an assist from McKenna Ferrera during the final minute of play.

Maeve O’Connor and Mikaela Powers combined for the shutout in goal for the Kangs.

Lake Washington will attempt to continue the momentum, hosting Mountlake Terrace at noon tomorrow.
