The Kirkland Coast Glory softball team recently won the District 9 mid-season Coast Tournament held May 13 through May 15. The tournament included teams from Kirkland, Bellevue, Redmond and the Snoqualmie Valley in the Coast division – made up of 9 through 11 year olds – and the Majors division, of 11 and 12 year olds.

Glory was undefeated in the tournament, beating Redmond West LL Heat in the final game with a 20-10 score.

The Glory team included: Jordan Schroeder, Ashlyn Schoen, Jane Wilson, Heather Bramlett, Anja Hanson, Haimanot Hansen, Grace Behrman, Devon Chapman, Alexis Johnson and Grace Heiner. The team is coached by Toby Schoen and Stacia Schroeder and managed by Dean Wilson. The team’s bat girl is Ashley Schroeder.

The Kirkland Eruption team also won the majors division. The tournament is held each year and this spring raised money for breast cancer awareness.
