Juanita softball loses battle to Woodinville in first loss | Prep softball

Coming up against one of the top 4A teams in the state, the Juanita softball team lost it's first game of the season to Woodinville on Wednesday, April 20. The Rebels and Falcons squared off with solid pitching for eight full innings with no runs, until the ninth inning when Woodinville got on base and made a run for the game's one and only trip around the bases.

Coming up against one of the top 4A teams in the state, the Juanita softball team lost it’s first game of the season to Woodinville on Wednesday, April 20. The Rebels and Falcons squared off with solid pitching for eight full innings with no runs, until the ninth inning when Woodinville got on base and made a run for the game’s one and only trip around the bases.

Woodinville had four hits during the match, while Juanita had two hits. Neither team recorded any errors. Katie Kent had both hits for Juanita during her four trips at bat.

The team bounced back and earned two wins at the end of the week.

Thursday, against Sammamish the Rebels won 1-0, and beat Mercer Island 11-0 on Friday. The game, which had been rescheduled because of weather delays, ended after five innings.
