The Juanita High School girls basketball team lost to Mercer Island, 62-39, at home on Friday. Juanita was outscored by nine points during the first quarter and was never able to fully recover. The home team kept pace during the second quarter but got blown out 17-8 during the third quarter to end any momentum the team had built.
Kate Cryderman was the only Rebel in double figures (11), while the Islanders had three.
