The Juanita High School girls basketball team defeated Lake Washington with a 61-31 win during the 2A/3A KingCo tournament on Thursday at Newport High School in Bellevue.

The Rebels began the game with a big run, outscoring their crosstown rivals 25-12 during the first quarter. The second quarter was not a high scoring affair, but the Rebels added six more points to their lead.

Juanita finished off the game with a 19-6 fourth-quarter run.

No individual results were reported.

With the win, Juanita advances to the Sea-King district tournament as the No. 3 seed from KingCo.

The loss ends Lake Washington’s season.
