Roommate dispute ends in shooting in Kirkland

Just before 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Kirkland Police responded to a report of a shooting at a residence located at 13218 136th Place N.E.

The following is a release from the Kirkland Police Department:

Just before 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Kirkland Police responded to a report of a shooting at a residence located at 13218 136th Place N.E. Police arrived and found an adult male outside the residence with a gunshot wound to the leg and the adult male suspect still on scene. Both involved males reside at the residence but the nature of the incident is not yet known.

The victim was transported to Harborview E.R. with what was reported as a non-life threatening injury. The suspect was transported to the Kirkland Police Department for questioning.

Other persons in the residence at the time were unharmed and are being interviewed.

Kirkland Police Detectives are processing the scene as the investigation is ongoing.
