The Juanita High School boys basketball team lost at Mercer Island Tuesday, 57-45, thanks to a fourth-quarter collapse. The Rebels began the game with a four point lead during the first quarter, which they carried into half time. But the team struggled to score during the third period as the Islanders tied the score. The Rebels seemed to forget how to play offense during the fourth quarter as they posted just seven points, giving up the lead and the game.

Ryon Cunnigan led the Rebels with 26 points but Juanita could not stop the Mercer Island duo of Kaj Sherman (21 points) and Quinn Sterling (13).

The loss drops Juanita to 2-6 in league play. The Rebels will host league leading and undefeated Bellevue Friday at 7:30 p.m.
