In two non-league games the Juanita boys basketball team lost to Snohomish, while the girls lost to 4A Issaquah.

The boys played on Saturday, Dec. 17 against Snohomish where the Rebels won 58-52.

Snohomish had the lead at the end of the first with a 18-13 score, and held the lead through the rest of the first half. The teams battled through a close third quarter, but 17 points in the fourth quarter weren’t enough for the Rebels to pull ahead.

Ryan Reid had 22 points during the game, while Sean Brennan had 11 and Devan Jackson added 10. Trevor Andrews posted three and Ty Eng posted two points during the loss.

On Wednesday, Dec. 21 the girls team lost a close game to Issaquah 54-50.

The Lady Rebels were up 14-10 at the end of the first, and extended their lead in the second with another 12 points, while defense held the Eagles to just eight. Issaquah roared back in the third, posting 17 points, followed by a 19 point fourth quarter.

Mikayla Jones had 13 points while both captains, Kate Cryderman and Molly Grager had 10 points. Winnie Levit had seven and Bre Carter and Taylor Lloyd had four each. Molly Steck added two points.
