JHS girls soccer | Juanita and Liberty play to a tie

The Juanita High School girls soccer team traveled to Renton to take on Liberty and came home with its second tie of the young season, 2-2.

The Rebels got on the board first as Alanna Coker took a pass from Kajso Sporseen and put the ball into the back of the Patriots’ net during the 17th minute. But Liberty would storm back with goals during the 34th and 45th minutes. Down one, the Rebels kept pushing the ball up the field, trying to get back into the game. A pass from Hannah Johnson to Karissa Radke during the 62nd minute tied the game. Neither team could get a clear enough shot to take the lead before the final horn.

The Rebels now hold a 2-2-2 record in league play and are 2-2-6 overall. Juanita will travel to Mercer Island for a 7:30 p.m. game Thursday.
