LWHS girls soccer | Kangs earn first win of the season

The Lake Washington girls soccer team’s drought is over.

The Kangs won their first game in eight attempts Tuesday night, as they defeated Inglemoor 2-1 at Mac Stadium.

Lake Washington got on the board during the 33rd minute, as Jessica Zogg took a pass from teammate Jordan Masters and put the ball into the back of the Viking goal.

Lacy Newbold scored Lake Washington’s second and first winning goal of the season during the 60th minute, as she took a pass from Amy Johnson and sent a rocket shot into the back of the Viking net.

The Kangs are now 1-4 in league play and 1-7-1 overall. Lake Washington will host Bothell at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
