The Kirkland Impact 15U boys team finished second place in the Washington State Youth Soccer Association Recreational Cup tournament.

The Kirkland Impact 15U boys team finished second place in the Washington State Youth Soccer Association Recreational Cup tournament. The team’s only loss during the tournament came in the championship game on Dec. 11. The Impact team lost 3-2 to the South Hill Soccer Club Stingrays of Puyallup.

“The boys played hard, just came up a little short,” said head coach Phil Goodwin. “It was a great year. We now know what our goal will be for next year.”

The team finished the season with a 14-1-3 record. Impact is based at Kamiakin Junior High, with players from across the Kirkland area.

The Impact roster includes the following players: Ryan Bartleson, Michael Cederblom, Conor Goodwin, Nicholas Goodwin, Kellen Harlington, Sean Joergensen, Austin Knerr, Pao Lor, Ryan Lundberg, Jonah Maki, Josef Mechure, Sam Merritt, Sean Nelson, Justin O’Farrell, Robert Snyder, Keegan Taggart, and Nahom Zaid. Coaches are Phil Goodwin, Pat Bartleson, and Steve Ellwood.
