Woman leaves massage due to questionable lump in masseur’s front pocket | Kirkland Police Blotter

Between May 19-26, the Kirkland Police Department reported 294 traffic violations (at least three DUIs), 18 car accidents, five burglaries, 10 noise complaints, seven thefts, 13 car prowls, 20 alarm calls, four malicious mischief calls, six domestic violence calls, three calls for fraud, 10 calls of disturbance, five incidents of harassment, nine hit and runs and two animal control calls. At least 28 people were arrested.

The blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical round-up of all calls to the Kirkland Police Department that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. The Kirkland Reporter Police Blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in Kirkland, which average about 800 per week.

May 26

School vandalism: 7:59 a.m., 1312 Sixth Street. The janitor at Peter Kirk Elementary reported graffiti in the covered basketball court area. The vandalism occurred sometime Friday or Saturday night. No evidence or suspects were found at the scene.

Boats vandalism: 9:05 a.m., 5200 block of Lake Washington Blvd N.E. Someone reported that four rental boats, one work skiff and two more boats had one of two dock lines untied during the night. No damage was reported to the boats, but the reporting party had an idea of who might have untied the boats and gave the name and description to the Kirkland Police Department.

Fraud: 6 p.m., 9200 block of N.E. 128th Lane. A Kirkland female reported that her credit card number had been stolen last month.

May 24

Residential trespass: 3:40 a.m., 600 block of 17th Ave. A 27-year-old Kirkland man was arrested for criminal trespass after being caught trying to open the back door to a private residence.

Harassment: 3:06 p.m., 9800 N.E. 120th Place. A local doctor’s office has been dealing with a man who won’t take no for an answer for his investment services. The man has made frequent, angry calls to the office trying to deal directly with the doctor. The man made a dental appointment in a last ditch effort to see him. The office canceled the appointment due to the man’s recent actions.

May 23

Questionable actions: 1:16 p.m., 300 Parkplace Center. A massage customer contacted Kirkland Police and notified them that while receiving a foot and neck massage she thought she felt the masseur’s erection on her back and shoulders. The customer told police that she felt uncomfortable and left the premises. The masseur was contacted by police and denied having an erection or any sexual contact with the customer but did have a large wallet in his front pocket.

May 22

Suspicious event: 10:25 p.m., 6400 block of 123rd Ave. N.E. A man calling from Texas stated that he believed an unauthorized person was in his house in Kirkland and that the person had an outstanding warrant. The man stated that the person was previously allowed to stay at his home, but that he wanted him to leave and was not leaving because he has a drug habit. No other information was available.

Domestic: 2:19 p.m., 10800 block of 111th Court N.E. A woman called the KPD after her live-in boyfriend assaulted her. The couple initially got into a verbal argument and the man left prior to police arriving. The man was later arrested.

Burglary: 11 p.m., 9200 block of 122nd Court N.E. A secure parking garage was burglarized after someone propped open the automatic door and attempted to steal a $900 Mountain Bike which was secured with locks. It appears the thief was interrupted as the bike was taken, minus a wheel. Other bikes may have been stolen.

May 21

DUI: 1:58 a.m., 8400 SB405 N.E. A 25-year-old Redmond female was stopped on a traffic infraction and was arrested for DUI. The woman provided a blood alcohol sample of .144 and .138.

Theft: 8:45 p.m., 12221 120th Ave. N.E. Two females were arrested for shoplifting from Fred Meyer and one had a misdemeanor warrant.

Minor, liquor violation: 10 p.m., 13000 block of N.E. 70th Place. Three underage suspects were contacted in the parking lot of the Tech City Bowl and all three were arrested for minors in possession. The male in the group was also arrested for false information and being a minor making a liquor purchase.

May 20

Domestic: 12:53 a.m., 11100 block of 102nd Place N.E. A 15-year-old Kirkland boy was arrested after he assaulted his 51-year-old father during an argument and then threatened him with a kitchen knife. The boy fled the house on foot with the knife and after a foot pursuit was taken into custody.

May 19

Threats: 12 p.m., 400 block of 18th Ave. One student threatened another student with a knife at school.

Minor, liquor violation: 7:30 p.m., 100 block of Lake Street S. Four subjects were contacted by police. A 19-year-old was booked into jail for minor in consumption based on his history and his current probation status. A 16-year-old was arrested and released to her parents for minor in consumption. A 15-year-old male was arrested for the same violation, along with a 14-year-old female. Both were released to their parents.
