Between Feb. 7-13, the Kirkland Police Department reported 521 traffic violations, six DUIs, eight school zone traffic violations, three animal calls, 38 alarm calls, four noise complaints, three juvenile crimes, 12 calls of disturbance, 14 thefts, eight car prowls, three car thefts, 33 traffic accidents, 12 calls of civil disturbance, 11 reported burglaries, 11 domestic violence calls, five calls for harassment, five reports of illegal drugs, one alleged assault, six acts of fraud, four malicious mischief reports, two sex offenses and six suicide calls. At least 32 people were arrested.

Feb. 13

Domestic violence: 5 a.m., 11800 block of 101st Place NE. A 35-year-old woman was arrested for punching her 37-year-old husband of 10 years in the face and striking him with a plastic stool. A 5-year-old girl, 12-year-old girl and 75-year-old woman were involved.

Feb. 11

Liquor violation: 10 p.m., 13114 block of NE 132nd St. A 16-year-old boy was arrested for causing a disturbance with Friends of Youth staff. The boy was intoxicated and admitted to drinking in Everett.

Order violation: 11 p.m., 1500 block of Third Place. A 24-year-old man was arrested for violating a protection order with his 52-year-old mother.

Feb. 10

Illegal drugs: 8:24 p.m., 12000 block of NE 83rd St. A 20-year-old man was cited for possessing a clear plastic baggie of marijuana and a glass pipe in a suspicious vehicle. The man gave consent for police to search the vehicle and was issued a criminal misdemeanor citation for having possession of less than 40 grams of marijuana.

Feb. 9

Warrant: 4:25 p.m., 14200 block of 124th Ave. NE. A 17-year-old girl was arrested on a misdemeanor truancy warrant after her parents called in that she was home. The girl was spotted waiting for a bus.

Warrant: 5:25 p.m., 9900 block of 124th Ave. NE. A 23-year-old man was arrested on a felony robbery warrant out of Seattle. The man was contacted at a traffic stop and the police observed his vehicle to have smelled strongly of marijuana.

Feb. 8

Order violation: 1:40 p.m., 10000 block of NE 129th Lane. A 23-year-old man from North Carolina was cited for violating a protection order from a 32-year-old woman by contacting her through email.

Illegal drugs: 2:48 p.m., 9400 block of NE 137th St. A 16-year-old boy was charged with possession of marijuana. The boy’s parents caught him smoking marijuana in his bedroom. He gave his mother the drug after he was confronted but his parents called police because it is an ongoing issue, according to the police report. A pill bottle with .30 grams of marijuana and two plastic homemade bongs were confiscated by police.

Feb. 7

Domestic violence: 6:32 p.m., 11700 block of 80th Ave. NE. A 21-year-old man was arrested for breaking items at his parents’ house and shoving his 62-year-old father in the chest, causing him to lose balance, during an argument.
