Three nights of northbound I-405 lane and ramp closures begin Thursday evening in Kirkland

Drivers should prepare for three nights of lane and ramp closures on northbound Interstate 405 beginning Thursday evening, March 19, and lasting through Sunday morning, March 22.

Drivers should prepare for three nights of lane and ramp closures on northbound Interstate 405 beginning Thursday evening, March 19, and lasting through Sunday morning, March 22.

Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will close several lanes and ramps to complete excavation, grading, drainage and noise wall work for the I-405 Bellevue to Lynnwood Widening and Express Toll Lanes project.

Lane closures:

  • Thursday, March 19, to the morning of Friday, March 20

o   Up to four lanes of northbound I-405 from SR 520 to Northeast 70th Street will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

  • Saturday, March 21, to the morning of Sunday, March 22

o   The right lane of northbound I-405 from Northeast 70th Street to Northeast 85th Street will be closed from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Ramp closures:

  • Friday, March 20, to the morning of Saturday, March 21

o   The northbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 85th Street will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

  • Saturday, March 21, to the morning of Sunday, March 22

o   The Northeast 70th Street on-ramp to northbound I-405 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

o   The northbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 85th Street will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
