Thank you, Juanita Bay Park volunteers

Thanks for being one of a billion people around the world celebrating Earth Day! Thank you for your contribution to restoring natural areas at Juanita Bay Park, together with the Rent-A-Ruminant goats.

An inspiring 143 human volunteers contributed to the success of the event (and 63 goats). Great work everyone! All volunteers did a wonderful job, including Congressman Jay Inslee!

The Green Kirkland Partnership Team thinks all volunteers are amazing! Many thanks from us all go to our generous sponsors: Soda drinks and snacks from Village Mart; and coffee from Starbucks.

We’ve updated the city’s Green Kirkland Partnership Web page and it now includes pictures of volunteers taken April 24. Visit: www.ci.kirkland.wa.us/depart/parks/Green_Kirkland_Partnership.htm.

Continuing the Green Kirkland Partnership, including arranging Earth Day events, is made possible through a grant from King Conservation District. Thank you for your participation in Kirkland’s Earth Day event.
