Sleep Train’s 11th annual Pajama Bowl was a striking success, raising a record-breaking $168,669 to help local foster kids participate in extracurricular activities. One of the events took place at Kirkland’s Tech City Bowl.

Funds raised by Pajama Bowl participants will go directly to 14 non-profit foster organizations to support “little wishes” programs that fund activities like dance classes, school field trips, sports teams, music lessons and summer camp.

“Foster kids often miss out on important activites due to a lack of funding, so Pajama Bowl focuses on providing opportunities for foster kids to join in,” said Gina Davis, vice president of Sleep Train Marketing. “Thanks to all of the generous families, organizations and businesses who fundraised for the event, we’ll be able to provide even more opportunities this year for foster children to participate in the activities that helped shape us all into well-rounded successful adults.”

This year’s Pajama Bowl brought in more than 900 participants dressed in their wildest PJs at events in Portland and the greater Seattle area. Attendees had the chance to win fun prizes during the event, and the winning team from both Washington and Oregon received a queen-size Simmons Beautyrest world class mattress for each team member. The winning team from Washington was Steak Cattle and Roll. In Oregon, the winning team was the Striking Divas.
