The State Department of Ecology recently approved the city’s update to its Shoreline Master Program (SMP). The SMP includes goals, policies and regulations for shoreline uses and activities.

The city is now studying the shoreline in the annexation area to see if any changes are needed to the regulations. In addition, the adopted Shoreline Environment Designations Map and Restoration Plan will be revised to incorporate the annexation area.
