Pregnant woman arrested after kicking father in groin | Kirkland Police Blotter

The blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical round-up of all calls to the Kirkland Police Department that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. The Kirkland Reporter police blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in Kirkland, which average about 1,000 per week.

Between Nov. 10-22, there were 98 traffic incidents, 24 traffic accidents, five DUIs, 17 general traffic incidents, nine incidents involving illegal drugs, 57 alarm calls, eight abandoned vehicles, seven burglaries, nine incidents of fraud, 14 civil incidents, eight cases of harassment, 29 thefts, 28 vehicle prowls, eight vehicle thefts, seven warrants served, 15 noise complaints, two animal calls, 14 incidents of domestic violence, no fireworks complaints, 22 disturbances, two sex offenses, eight hit and runs and 26 incidents involving at least one arrest.

Nov. 23

Domestic: 12:30 a.m., 12000 block of NE 128th St.; Police arrested a 38-year-old Bothell man for 4th-degree assault, domestic violence, after he repeatedly struck his 42-year-old brother in the face during a physical dispute in a car near the Houghton Park and Ride.

Nov. 24

Theft: 11:58 a.m., 12200 block of 120th Ave. NE; A 32-year-old woman was arrested for 3rd-degree theft after she attempted to steal several items, including silverware, a plunger, a turkey baster and other items from Fred Meyer.

DUI: 5:39 p.m., NE Juanita Drive and 98th Ave. NE; A 46-year-old man was involved in a rear-end collision and was found to be under the influence of alcohol. The man provided breath samples of .091 and .092 and was arrested for DUI.

Warrants: 11:25 p.m., 12200 block of NE 116th St.; A 22-year-old Federal Way man and a 30-year-old Fife man left Sharis without paying and were seen leaving in a blue Toyota. The vehicle was located at Motel 6 and both subjects were located inside a room. The Fife man was arrested on a warrant, but no charges for theft were filed.

Nov. 25

Assault: 7:30 p.m., 10200 block of NE 132nd St.; A 22-year-old Chelan man was arrested for 3rd-degree assault after assaulting a nurse at Fairfax Hospital.

Nov. 26

DUI: 1:13 a.m., 10600 block of NE 140th; A 71-year-old Issaquah man was arrested for DUI and provided at breath sample of .122.

Nov. 27

Malicious mischief: 6:59 p.m., 11200 block of NE 132nd St.; A 20-year-old man was arrested for 3rd-degree malicious mischief after slashing a car tire belonging to a 27-year-old Auburn man. The younger man claimed he was owed money, and the Auburn man wouldn’t pay.

Warrants: 1:55 a.m., 8300 block of Southbound I-405; A 30-year-old man was stopped for speeding in his Hummer, and had a felony warrant out of Kennewick. The man was arrested on his warrant and transported to King County Jail.

Nov. 28

Domestic: 12:47 a.m., 13000 block of NE 87th St.; A 28-year-old woman was arrested for 4th-degree domestic violence assault after getting into a confrontation with her 60-year-old father and kicking him in the groin. The woman suffers from mental health issues and is currently six months pregnant. The woman was transported to SCORE.

Domestic: 2:45 p.m., 7600 block of NE Champagne Point Place; A 25-year-old man was arrested for 4th-degree domestic violence assault after he squeezed the neck of his 24-year-old girlfriend, causing her pain. The incident was reported to the Carl Sandburg Elementary principal by their 7-year-old daughter the following day.

Warrants: 5:33 p.m., 3700 block of Lake Washington Blvd. NE; A 32-year-old Seattle woman was contacted after leaving her child in her vehicle alone in the La Quinta parking lot. The woman had warrants out of Seattle and King County, and was arrested and booked into King County Jail. The child was left with a friend of the woman, at the woman’s request.
