Police detectives investigating death of Kirkland woman

Kirkland Police Department patrol officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 4 p.m. on Monday that originated from a residence in the 800 block of 1st Street.

Kirkland police responded to a 911 call at approximately 4 p.m. on Monday that originated from a residence in the 800 block of 1st Street.

The male caller said that his wife had a self inflicted gunshot wound and was deceased. Patrol officers arrived and confirmed with medics that the 37-year-old female was deceased.

There has been no criminal history reported to the Kirkland Police Department between the man and his wife since they have lived at this residence.

At this time, this is a routine death investigation being conducted by Kirkland Police Department detectives and Washington State Patrol Crime Lab personnel.
