Between Wednesday, Nov. 12 and Tuesday, Nov. 18, the Kirkland Police Department reported 359 traffic violations (4 DUIs), 24 car accidents, 18 alarm calls, 14 assaults, 13 thefts, 13 noise complaints and eight acts of vandalism. At least 45 people were arrested.

Thursday, Nov. 13

VEHICLE THEFT: 7:01 a.m., 10500 block of 19th Avenue Northeast, Seattle. Kirkland Police surveilling the home of a known residential burglary suspect arrested two suspects there allegedly involved in a Renton carjacking.

Friday, Nov. 14

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: 1:40 p.m., 11300 block of N.E. 124th Street. A 19-year-old Shoreline man was arrested after a passerby noticed him smoking marijuana.

Sunday, Nov. 16

MINOR IN POSSESSION: 12:58 a.m., 13000 block of 70th Place Northeast. Police arrested two individuals, ages 16 and 20, after they were found in an intoxicated state in a vehicle parked at the Tech City bowling alley. They were booked and released.

VEHICLE PROWL: 8:45 a.m., 13100 block of 113th Place Northeast. A 21-year old Bellevue man was arrested for allegedly breaking into five vehicles. Police apprehended him after his attempt to escape was thwarted by nearly losing his pants on a chain-link fence. He was also held for criminal trespassing, controlled substance violations and an outstanding warrant for trespassing and making false statements. He was booked at the county jail. Police are still investigating.

RUNAWAY: 6:15 p.m., 10400 block of N.E. 116th Street. A 15-year-old male juvenile was reported as a runaway by his mother. He allegedly failed to return home two days prior to the report.

Monday, Nov. 17

ASSAULT: 11:40 a.m., First block of Lakeshore Plaza. An employee of a nearby hair salon was arrested following an altercation with a police officer issuing parking tickets. After her Jeep Wrangler was cited for a parking violation, the 38-year-old Seattle woman crumpled up the ticket and threw it at the officer, striking her in the face. She was cited for criminal misdemeanors and booked into the city jail.

INDECENT EXPOSURE: 6:26 p.m., 12400 block of N.E. 85th Street. A man was allegedly seen masturbating while sitting in a parked dark blue BMW. He denied any wrongdoing.

Tuesday, Nov. 18

ASSAULT: 1:00 p.m., 12600 block of N.E. 117th Place. A police investigation determined a domestic violence incident occurred between two brothers in a local residence. The victim suffered abrasions to his face and hand and at one point was reportedly strangled. The suspect was cited and booked at the city jail.

MINOR IN POSSESSION: 5:46 p.m., 200 block of 3rd Street. Two intoxicated 16-year-old juveniles were taken into custody after they were found in possession of alcoholic beverages at Peter Kirk Park.
