Multiple DUI offender flips car after high-speed chase

Washington State Patrol nabbed a multiple DUI offender Memorial Day weekend after a high-speed chase on southbound I-405 in Kirkland.

Washington State Patrol nabbed a multiple DUI offender Memorial Day weekend after a high-speed chase on southbound I-405 in Kirkland.

A trooper spotted 42-year-old Oleg A. Seleznov of Renton at 9:40 p.m. Friday traveling at a high rate of speed in his green BMW and making several erratic lane changes after he entered southbound I-405 from Northeast 124th St.

When the trooper attempted to stop the man, he sped up and led the trooper on what officials referred to as a “wild pursuit.” Seleznov, who has one prior arrest for driving with a suspended license and three prior DUI arrests, attempted to elude the trooper at speeds in excess of 125 mph.

He lost control of his car as he got on the Northeast 70th St. exit ramp and flipped his BMW over the median.

Seleznov was taken into custody and booked into King County Jail for felony eluding. He will also be charged with felony DUI, based on a prior vehicular assault conviction in 2003.
