This well-known and long-running festival attracts some of the finest young orchestras from the Northwest. The LWHS Chamber Orchestra played a varied and challenging program. Pieces included two movements from John Rutter’s Suite for Strings, Adrian Gordon’s “High Rise,” and an arrangement of “Bacchanale” from Camille Saint-Saens’ “Samson and Delilah.” The students’ hard work earned them second place in their division.
