Kirkland’s Lake Washington Institute of Technology closed due to power outage

The Lake Washington Institute of Technology is closed today.

The Lake Washington Institute of Technology is closed today due to a power outage. All classes at the college have been canceled for Thursday, Nov. 21.

“There was a neighborhood outage early this morning,” said a Puget Sound Energy official in an email to the Reporter. “Crews got everyone back online a little while later, except for the college. There’s some sort of issue, potentially with the college’s system, that’s not linking correctly with ours. Could take all day to repair.”

The college is located at 11605 132nd Ave NE in Kirkland’s Totem Lake neighborhood.

The Lake Washington Institute of Technology website has also been down most of the morning. The Reporter has not been able to reach Lake Washington Institute of Technology personnel.

The Reporter will update this story when more information is available.
