Between April 22-28 the Kirkland Police Department reported 613 traffic violations (seven DUIs), 18 traffic accidents, 10 noise complaints, 10 thefts, six domestic violence calls, 21 alarm calls, 11 car prowls, three malicious mischief calls, seven cases of civil disturbances, three burglaries, five disturbances, seven cases of fraud and two harassment calls. At least 36 people were arrested.

April 27

DUI: 10:42 p.m., 400 Central Way. While conducting a traffic stop an officer observed a 1980s Ford Bronco travel across four lanes of traffic and strike a Honda Accord as it made an east-bound turn. The officer followed the vehicle for three blocks as it also drove onto the median and back into traffic. The driver refused a field sobriety and blood alcohol content tests. The driver was arrested.

DUI: 12:23 a.m., 100 Lake Street S. A 27-year-old Marysville female was arrested for DUI after being stopped for committing multiple traffic violations.

April 25

Order violation: 3:36 p.m., 12400 block of N.E. 124th Street. A 52-year-old Kirkland man was arrested for a felony warrant.

April 24

Assault: 1:53 p.m., 11000 block of N.E. A 35-year-old Kirkland man was arrested after assaulting his wife with a telephone-charger cord.

Malicious mischief: 4 p.m., 12200 block of 112th Way N.E. A Kirkland couple reported that they came home to find their front door closed but unsecured, with the door frame cracked and the door latch broken off. They reported that nothing inside the home was disturbed or taken.

April 23

Domestic: 9:58 p.m., 12000 block of Slater Ave. N.E. A 22-year-old Seattle woman was arrested for domestic violence after she repeatedly pushed her roommate. The woman received a second count of assault for hitting her roommate’s friend.

Domestic: 12:10 a.m., 11800 block of 100th Ave. N.E. A 22-year-old Kirkland woman was arrested for domestic violence after she bit a 25-year-old Sequim man in the face and scratched his neck.

April 19

Informational report: 12 p.m., 5200 block of 111th Ave. N.E. A 46-year-old Kirkland man, who was recently separated from his wife, reported that his wife may have broken into his home while he was in Alaska. When the options of actions were provided to the man he became really quiet and would not provide any further information about the situation or his wife and did not want to pursue criminal action.
