Kirkland Police Blotter Sept. 9-15

The weekly Kirkland Police blotter is represented on an interactive map below. Instead of listing the selection of calls separately, this feature allows the information relating to the call to be placed on the map itself.

The blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical round-up of all calls to the Kirkland Police Department that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. The Kirkland Reporter Police Blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in Kirkland, which average about 800 per week.

Between Sept. 9-15, the Kirkland Police Department reported 270 traffic violations (six DUIs), 12 traffic accidents, 22 noise complaints, 18 thefts, eight animal control calls, seven domestic violence calls, seven alarm calls, four burglaries, 14 motor vehicle prowls, 18 thefts, eight cases of fraud, four malicious mischief calls and eight cases of harassment. At least 31 people were arrested.

Sept. 15

Park violation: 5:10 p.m., 9703 N.E. Juanita Drive. Four adults were cited for having liquor in a park and issued a one-year trespass letter from Juanita Beach Park.

Domestic violence: 8:41 p.m., 10800 block of N.E. 68th Street. An 18-year-old Kirkland female struck both of her parents during an argument and was arrested for two counts of fourth-degree assault.

Assault report: A 23-year-old Kirkland man reported that on March 4 2007 he was assaulted and robbed near the Taco Bell in the 11700 block of 124th Ave. N.E. The alleged victim still had a deep scar on his nose from the attack and claims that he has suffered significant brain damage and memory loss. The man provided suspect descriptions of a white make and a black male. Case taken with no further suspect information.

Sept. 13

Weapons: 3:11 p.m., Lake Street S. and Kirkland Ave. The reporting party said that a man on a skate board was seen on the street with a gun in his hand and his finger on the trigger. The man was wearing a multi-colored head band, shorts and had curly hair. The man was not threatening or menacing.

Domestic violence: 5:44 p.m., 9900 block of N.E. 126th Street. An adult male assaulted his fiance, and physically restrained her when she attempted to flee the residence. The man was arrested for fourth-degree assault and unlawful imprisonment.

Sept. 11

Domestic violence: 11:05 p.m., 12700 126th Way N.E. A 20-year-old Kirkland male was arrested for minor in consumption.

Warrant arrest: A 41-year-old Kirkland man was arrested on a Port Townsend warrant for driving with a suspended license. The man was also charged for possession of 9.10 grams of marijuana and paraphernalia.

Sept. 9

Theft: 3 p.m., 200 3rd Street. A 15-year-old Kirkland female took another juveniles cell phone and was arrested for theft. She was booked into the Kirkland jail and released to her mother.
