The blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical round-up of all calls to the Kirkland Police Department that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. Between Nov. 19-28, the Kirkland Police Department reported 557 traffic violations (six DUIs), 34 traffic accidents, 17 noise complaints, 11 thefts, 12 domestic violence calls, 42 alarm calls, seven motor vehicle prowls, four burglaries, 16 disturbances, nine cases of fraud and seven harassment calls. At least 51 people were arrested.

Nov. 28

Assault: 1:43 a.m., 13000 block of 70th Place. A 44-year-old Redmond man was arrested for assault after he reached down the pants of a 18-year-old female victim and pulled out her underwear. The suspect was a stranger to the victim.

Mental: 7:41 a.m., 7800 122nd Ave. N.E. A Kirkland woman wanted to report the death of several animals that she had found on her property. The woman then started rambling about the coyote that probably killed the animals. It appeared that the woman might be suffering from other issues. She recently went through a divorce. She was provided with some resources that could help with her situation.

Nov. 27

Domestic: 11 p.m., 400 block of Sixth Ave. S. A 22-year-old Kirkland female got into an argument with her 62-year-old father and hit the man on the head with an unknown object causing a laceration. The man had to have seven stitches.

Warrant arrest: 1:06 a.m., 13000 block 102nd Lane N.E. A 20-year-old Mukilteo man was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant for fourth degree assault.

Liquor violation: 10:01 p.m., 13033 N.E. 70th Place. Two minors were arrested for possession of alcohol and consumption, while an adult was arrested for supplying the liquor.

Nov. 26

Welfare check: 7 p.m., 12200 block of 131st Place N.E. A 27-year-old Bellevue man called Kirkland police because he was concerned about the welfare of his daughter. The KPD checked on the girl and nothing was wrong.

Nov. 25

Assault: 1:45 a.m., 1000 block of Kirkland Ave. A 23-year-old Carnation woman was struck on the nose by an unknown white male that was fighting with one of her friends at Tiki Joes. The victim refused aid.

Domestic: 10:43 p.m., 9700 block of 130th Ave. N.E. A 30-year-old Kirkland man was arrested for punching his wife in the head with his fist. The man then attempted to prevent the victim from reporting the incident.

Nov. 22

Domestic: 9:45 p.m., 7500 123rd Ave. N.E. A 41-year-old Kirkland man was arrested for domestic violence after he assaulted his wife.

Nov. 21

Malicious mischief: 3:10 p.m., 200 block of Seventh Ave. S. A 16-year-old Kirkland boy was arrested for punching holes into the walls of his parents’ house.

Nov. 20

Assault: 1:17 a.m., 1000 block of Kirkland Ave. Two unknown suspects punched a 35-year-old Kirkland man at a local bar and fled the scene.

Nov. 19

Malicious Mischief: 1:07 a.m., 100 block of Kirkland Ave. A highly intoxicated 29-year-old Redmond man was arrested after he left the Central Club Tavern. After a physical altercation in the bar, the suspect then caused damage to the business structure and glass window of Chase bank. The damage was estimated at $2,000.

Warrant arrest: 12600 block of N.E. 119th Street. A noise complaint from a loud party led to the contact and arrest of a 20-year-old Kirkland man for his outstanding warrants and underage intoxication.

Traffic: 5:14 a.m., 100 Main Street. Officers contacted a suspect who had high centered his vehicle in a parking lot. The man appeared intoxicated and refused a sobriety test.
