Kirkland Police Blotter June 24-30

The weekly Kirkland Police blotter is represented on an interactive map below. Instead of listing the selection of calls separately, this feature allows the information relating to the call to be placed on the map itself.

The blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical round-up of all calls to the Kirkland Police Department that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. The Kirkland Reporter Police Blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in Kirkland, which average about 800 per week.

Between June 24-30, the Kirkland Police Department reported 349 traffic violations (eight DUI), 18 traffic accidents, 20 alarm calls, 20 noise complaints, 10 domestic violence calls, 10 thefts, seven calls of fireworks violations, three car prowls, three controlled substances, three burglary calls, two assaults and five acts of fraud. At least 28 people were arrested.

June 29

Traffic offense: 8:57 p.m., 12400 block of N.E. 124th Street. Raymond Jacinto Beas Jr. of Kirkland, 35, was stopped for a traffic violation and arrested for driving with a suspended license. He also informed the officer that he had a pipe and some marijuana in his vehicle. Beas was also charged with possession of under 40 grams.

June 28

Disorderly conduct: 12:25 a.m. 100 block of Kirkland Ave. John R. Conley, 32, of Bellevue was arrested for disorderly conduct and trespassing after allegedly fighting with bar staff and refusing to leave the premises.

Weapons violation: 3 a.m., 12300 block of 120th Ave. N.E. An officer heard three consecutive gunshots while on a traffic stop. Upon arrival in the area where the shots were heard the officer located three .380 pistol casings in the parking lot of the Rodeo Bar. A 29-year-old security officer stated the suspect is a regular customer and the shots were fired into the air.

Assault: 8:45 p.m., 12200 block of N.E. 116th Street. An assistant manager at Sherri’s was allegedly punched three times in the face by another employee Alejandro Gonzalez Verduzco, 32, of Kirkland, who was upset because he was told to go home early for not following the company policy.

June 27

Traffic offense: 10:58 a.m., 12000 block of N.E. 124th Street. Gerardo Rios Escamilla, 21, of Seattle was stopped on a traffic offense and arrested for failure to give police information and driving with a suspended license.

Possession: 11:03 p.m., 13000 block of N.E. 70th Place. Jacob Aaron Wardell, 23, and Ruslan Malevich, 19, both of Kirkland, were contacted by police in a vehicle and arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

June 26

DUI: 2:11 a.m., 100 block of Central Way. Sasha Marie Bernhard, 22, of Woodinville was stopped and arrested for DUI and driving with a suspended license.

Theft: 3:45 p.m., 12200 block of 120th Ave. N.E. Natasha R. Schorran, 21, of Kirkland was arrested for third-degree theft after being caught at Fred Meyer by loss prevention. Schorran was allegedly caught shoplifting approximately 24 items worth $1,113.35 after removing the inventory control tags, bypassing security measures and leaving the store. Items that were stolen included bedding, linens and women’s accessories.

June 25

Assault: 3:12 p.m., 11600 block of 98th Ave. N.E. William Lee Kincaid, 25, of Kirkland was arrested for assaulting his live-in girlfriend.

June 24

Assault: 10:14 p.m., 9800 block of N.E. 128th Street. Larry Ivan Vinson was arrested for assaulting his 3-year-old son.

June 23

Burglary: 1 p.m., 6200 block of Lake Washington Boulevard. The victim reported that an unknown person broke into his residence and stole a laptop computer and two hard drives. Entry was gained by cutting the bathroom window screen. The victim’s two roommates were home all day but claimed that they never saw the thief or had anything to do with the theft.
