Kirkland Police Blotter Dec. 2-8

Between Dec. 2-8, the Kirkland Police Department reported 280 traffic violations (one DUI), 18 traffic accidents, five noise complaints, seven thefts, six domestic violence, 20 alarms, one incident of illegal substances, 24 motor vehicle prowls, five car thefts, three burglaries, nine disturbances, nine cases of fraud, eight harassments and 10 malicious mischief calls. At least 31 people were arrested.

Dec. 7

Assault: 5:30 a.m., 4300 Lake Washington Boulevard N.E. A woman called 911 to report that she was in a physical altercation with her boyfriend of six months. The woman stated that during the altercation with the 34-year-old Kirkland man, he choked her by placing his hands around her neck and forcing her to the bed. While police were en route to the location the man left the apartment but was stopped in his vehicle by officers. Further investigation showed the man to have previous citations for domestic violence and DUI.

Warrant: 12 a.m., 10600 block of N.E. 47th Place. A 48-year-old Kirkland man was arrested at his residence for a $1,500 driving with a suspended license warrant out of Bellevue.

Warrant: 8:12 p.m., 11800 South Bound 405 N.E. A 44-year-old Everett man was contacted on south bound 405 after his vehicle overheated. Upon contact with the man he stated that he has a warrant out of Redmond for driving with a suspended license. The warrant was confirmed and the man was arrested and transported to Redmond without incident.

Malicious mischief: 4 p.m., 12400 N.E. 60th Street. Graffiti was left on the north side of Ben Franklin Elementary School.

Motor vehicle prowl: A Subaru Outback had the passenger-side window broken and a TV-VCR-DVD player, MP3 player, video camera and GPS were all stolen.

Dec. 6

Malicious mischief: A 16-year-old Kirkland male was arrested for malicious mischief and third degree domestic violence after he swung a broom and damaged a TV cabinet. The male had not taken his medication, which reportedly caused the fit of rage.

Warrant: 12:11 a.m., 12400 N.E. 116th Street. A 34-year-old Des Moines man was stopped and arrested after he was found to be driving with a suspended license. The man also had a felony warrant for forgery out of Snohomish County.

Dec. 5

Disorderly conduct: 1 a.m., 200 Central Way. Police were called because two groups of people were fighting outside Time Out Tavern. A 23-year-old Bothell man was initially arrested for fourth degree assault and was cited and released for disorderly conduct after further investigation. A 32-year-old Mill Creek man and a 21-year-old Kirkland man were also cited for disorderly conduct.

Dec. 4

DUI: 12:49 a.m., 400 Market Street. A 24-year-old woman was stopped and arrested for DUI. She provided a .125 and .126 blood alcohol sample.

Stolen property: 12:59 p.m., 11600 block of 127th Lane N.E. A 49-year-old Wenatchee woman was arrested after being located inside of a stolen vehicle.

Malicious mischief: 5 p.m., 12400 N.E. 60th Street. Unknown suspects vandalized the exterior wall of the covered basketball court outside Ben Franklin Elementary.
