Kirkland Police arrest suspects in elder financial abuse case

Kirkland Police Detectives arrested two suspects in Puyallup on suspicion of elder financial abuse, identity theft and forgery.

The suspects are the adult daughter and grandson of the 87-year-old female victim. They are accused of methodically stealing funds through abuse of power of attorney, deception and forgery.

The suspects fraudulently opened financial accounts and diverted Social Security and pension payments totaling over $150,000.

The suspects were booked into King County Jail.
