Kirkland man pleads not guilty to weapons charge

Kirkland resident Andrew Vincent Waham, 41, pleaded not guilty to a weapons charge in Seattle Municipal Court stemming from an incident on Sept. 24. Waham was arrested after he allegedly fired an air gun in front of the Showbox Theater in downtown Seattle.

Security guards for the Showbox said that Waham, wearing an old-style Mariners’ cap, pointed a green and black gun toward the ground between two cars and parked on the curb in front of the venue. Security asked Waham to leave and he responded in “an intimidating manner,” according to a Seattle police report.

Seattle bicycle officers found Waham in a parking lot wearing an old-style Mariners’ cap and armed with a green and black air pistol loaded with BBS in his rear waistband. Security for the venue identified Waham and he was booked into King County Jail and released the next day after his bail was set at $1,000.
