As a result of his academic performance and extensive community service, Steven Sifferman has received a college scholarship from the Kirkland Kiwanis.

In June, Sifferman graduated with honors from Cedar Park Christian School where he maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA and was named co-valedictorian. He was an active member of the National Honor Society, which emphasizes community service. Sifferman served on the Senior Class Board and lettered in cross country and track and field in which he pole vaulted, long jumped and triple jumped, and was named team captain. He was the quarterback and captain of the JV football team.

A seven year member of Boy Scout Troop 615, sponsored by Holy Family Catholic Church, Sifferman also attained the rank of Eagle Scout. His service project involved planning, designing, and leading others in the construction of picnic table pads at Bridle Trails State Park.

The son of Bob and Sandee Sifferman, Steven will major in physics in the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University, where he received the President’s Scholarship and the ASU Parents’ Club scholarship.
