The following is a release from the city of Kirkland:

The Kirkland City Council will receive an update tonight on the Sound Transit 3 (ST3) Candidate Projects that could potentially provide Sound Transit service within the city of Kirkland. The Sound Transit Board of Directors has adopted a Candidate Project List (CPL) of projects in August that might be included in the 2016 ST3 Ballot measure.

The CPL includes two options for transit along the Cross Kirkland Corridor (CKC). The first project is a light rail line from Totem Lake to Bellevue along the CKC and continuing to Issaquah along I-90 (CPL #E-03). The second project (CPL #E-06) considers a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) from Totem Lake to Bellevue. A third project (CPL #E-02) would provide BRT along I-405.
