JLS Academy, Inc. is currently looking for homestay families in the greater Seattle area.

With over 40 branches in Korea, JLS is one of the leading providers of English as a second language and Math programs for students from grades 1 to 12 in Korea.

• Monthly compensation: JLS pays host families a stipend for room and board as well as transportation.

JLS has developed its own method of language teaching, with the school’s own textbooks, a well-structured curriculum, and the opportunity for students to develop their English Skills through our Immersion Program.

The JLS Immersion Program

JLS strongly believes in the importance of cultural immersion within a language program. The JLS Immersion Program provides the opportunity for Korean youth to study abroad and to experience daily life and culture in an English-speaking country.

The goal of the JLS Immersion Program is both to strengthen the students’ language skills and encourage them to broaden their horizons and to become true global citizens.

JLS has been offering study abroad programs in Vancouver B.C. since 2003 and has recently established a program in the Seattle area. Students attend local partner schools and live with a host family (homestay).
