Husband arrested in Kirkland, charged with Lynnwood woman’s murder in ‘06

A Lynwood man was arrested outside of his workplace at the Chase Bank branch in Kirkland on Wednesday morning and was charged in connection with his wife’s slaying in 2006.

A Lynwood man was arrested outside of his workplace at the Chase Bank branch in Kirkland on Wednesday morning and was charged in connection with his wife’s slaying in 2006.

Detectives with the King County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit arrested Martin David Pietz, 34, for the alleged murder of his wife, Nicole Theresa Pietz, of Lynnwood. He was arrested outside of his workplace in the 200 block of Kirkland Ave.

Nicole was reported missing to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 29, 2006.

Her body was recovered in a wooded area near 1010 South 144th St. in the City of Burien in February 2006. The victim’s car that had been missing was recovered in a parking lot in the area of 936 NE 42nd Street in Seattle on Feb. 22, 2006.
