Hopelink, Kirkland Urban announce food drive

A site at Kirkland Urban will be open for food drop-offs every Thursday for the rest of 2020.

Kirkland Urban has announced a partnership with the nonprofit Hopelink to help provide COVID-19 (coronavirus) relief in the Kirkland community.

In a May 26 update shared by the company, starting Thursday (May 28) and recurring each Thursday throughout 2020, members of the community will be able to donate shelf-stable and canned goods at a Kirkland Urban site between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The donation station is by the Fountain Court, next to Shake Shack and QFC. All donations will benefit Hopelink, an organization seeking to mitigate poverty in the Kirkland area.

A list of most-needed items, including foods like cereal, mac and cheese, canned goods and more, can be found on Kirkland Urban’s website.
