Between March 7-13, the Kirkland Police Department reported 444 traffic violations, eight DUIs, 27 school zone traffic violations, one animal call, 34 alarm calls, 15 noise complaints, one juvenile crime, 19 calls of disturbance, 20 calls for civil disturbance, 20 thefts, 19 car prowls, two car thefts, 22 traffic accidents, three reported burglaries, 10 domestic violence calls, six calls for harassment, four reports of illegal drugs, one alleged assault, 33 acts of fraud, two malicious mischief reports, one sex offense and six calls for suicide. At least 25 people were arrested.

March 11

Sex offense: 2:28 p.m., 7300 block of 128th Ave. NE. A woman called police to report that she believed her daughter was sexually abused in the past and requested to speak to an officer. The case is pending at this time.

March 10

Trespass: 5:16 p.m., 9736 block of NE 120th Place. A homeless 41-year-old man refused to leave the Juanita Pub after employees issued him a trespass letter. He was allegedly acting strangely and resisted arrest when police arrived. After he was Tasered with a drive stun, the man attempted to kick an officer.

March 9

Domestic violence: 10:32 p.m., 11400 block of 115th Lane NE. A 21-year-old man was cited for allegedly breaking his 19-year-old ex-girlfriend’s lamp and stealing her Samsung Galaxy cell phone during a heated argument.

Domestic violence: 10:32 p.m., 13700 block of 108th Ave. NE. A 22-year-old woman and her 23-year-old estranged husband got into a verbal argument about keeping each other from seeing their kids, as they are separated. The argument occurred from Lake City Way into Kirkland after the wife found her husband at a strip club. Police state no crime occurred.

March 8

Warrant: 1 a.m., 9400 block of NE 120th St. A 53-year-old man was arrested on a civil contempt of court misdemeanor warrant. Police discovered the warrant after they were called to his house because of an argument over his 54-year-old girlfriend detoxing from alcohol. Nothing physical was reported.

Order violation: 3:15 p.m., 9800 block of NE 128th St. A 37-year-old man was cited for violating a no-contact order between him and his 46-year-old ex-girlfriend. The woman called 911 and hung up while the suspect was over collecting his things.

March 7

Warrant: 11:45 a.m., 12500 block of Totem Lake Boulevard NE. A 49-year-old Renton man was arrested after police stopped him in his 1992 BMW on a traffic offense and found he had two felony warrants.

Theft: 2:56 p.m., 8600 block of 120th Ave. NE. A 46-year-old woman was taken into custody after Costco Wholesale Loss Prevention observed her putting razor blades, Crest white strips, a cosmetic brush set and underwear – a $165 value – into her canvas bag without paying for the items.
