Enforcement of the new parking system for the Downtown Employee Parking Program starts next week on March 21. The new system requires an annual registration and employer verification of downtown employment. Vehicles parking in the permit-only areas of the Library Garage or on Lake Avenue West are required to have a new permit or will be subject to a parking citation.

Downtown Employees can submit the registration form and pick up the new permit at Kirkland City Hall. Employees of downtown businesses are encouraged to park in designated areas managed by the city to help ensure that Downtown Kirkland visitors and customers have the best parking options in downtown Kirkland. Participation in the Downtown Employee Parking Program is free. For more information about parking in Kirkland, visit the city’s website.
