Ford of Kirkland delivered over 60 costumes to the local Boys & Girls Club of King County on Tuesday. The dealership’s surprise “treat” marked the conclusion of its first terrifyingly successful costume drive.

“The costume drive was a wickedly good time and our employees always enjoy partnering with the Kirkland Boys & Girls Club,” President of Ford of Kirkland Jim Walen said. “The neighborhood streets of Kirkland are going be a fun and scary place this year. The more trick-or-treaters we have out there, the better.”

“We always appreciate the support of community-minded businesses like Ford of Kirkland,” Executive Director for the Kirkland Club Bridget Powers said. “The kids were pretty excited when they saw all the costumes.”

Since late September, members of the public and Ford of Kirkland employees were encouraged donate costumes (appropriate for ages 6-15) by dropping them off by the jack-o’-lantern Ford Focus.

Dracula, Frankenstein’s monster and the Mummy did not immediately return calls requesting comment.
